It's believed that a box of 61 negative glass plates bought for $45 at a garage sale in Fresno, California, were photographs taken by Ansel Adams.

I saw that in one of the papers. The Ansel Adams Trust is disputing their authenticity, but the handwriting on the envelopes has been verified as that of Ansel's wife, and a meteorologist has confirmed from the cloud formations that they were taken from the same location and within a very short time of of some of his known works.
