Was doing a shoot today with Dave Lees (velesphotography) and it was great, when I was looking through the images there was one that I actually thought "that would be awesome as a nude". I appreciate nude as an art form but never really pictured myself pulling off something that I think would look better as a nude. It was one of those "I could see Chrissie_Red doing that" moments...which, not being egotistical, I think means I pulled off a fantastic picture!

I’m with Chrissie on the yay, nude work isn’t for everyone though, but if you don’t try it you won’t know, so fair play to you for giving it a try.

Hehe, I wasn't actually naked at all...but it gave me some food for thought on the topic. I've appreciated it as an art form but never really thought it would be something I'd consider.

Emma you should totally try it sometime, if its with someone your comfortable doing nudes with. Hey if it doesnt work then its no biggie, It is funny though how you say you seen something and you thought "that would be cool nude" - I do that alot, especially when its a clothed image. Although sometimes I go out with the intention of keeping my clothes on more often than not they end up in a pile on the floor and the photographer is left thinking "was this ment to be a nude shoot?".

Also the old nakedness saves money on clothes/shoes and alot of the time I dont wear much makeup doing nudes so I save on that too. Soo many plus points, only bad side is - when its cold / when a passer by catches you!

Well, I had bare feet so I was partially nude! hehehe! Implied nude...I'll leave my clothes on but I'll take my shoes and socks off! lol!

Artistic nude generally doesn't use models with tattoos though?

I have a few tattoos & still getting my kit off...artistically ofcourse!

I have a small red rose on my lower hip, a tribal rose design & "Caroline" written on my lower back, my "Starsgoblue" tattoo & my latest "13" tattoo...

I'm just thinking that if it was something I was going to consider, my left calf being fully tattooed might be an issue...if a photographer wasn't wanting to spend ages editing it out!

Some photographers use tattoos as focal points and part of the art. I guess its a case of searching about and finding the right ones
