Thank you each and everyone of you for your kind words.
Your support means such a lot- and im honoured to call many of you my true friends, which is a great place to be in this industry!
Folk like this horrible creep need to know that karma does exist- and their comeuppance will happen, rest assured.

Feedback works two ways does it not? With careful wording I'm sure you can leave a suitable message that does not break the site rules and call his bluff. He's got more to lose out of slagging you off in public than just crawling off back under his rock.
I get asked pretty much at every shoot about other photographers and would be interested in another name for the (thankfully pretty short) avoidance list. It's filed next to the "no show" list. The "gotta get round to working with" list got so big it's got its own shelf and your name's still solidly on that one. I've never heard a bad word said of you and it would take at least a dozen bad reports to overcome the huge volume of references you come with.
Good on you for sticking your ground!

This really is scary. Apart from being the best model I have ever worked with and one of the nicest people you could hope to meet, Brit is as professional and careful about her work as anyone could possibly be. That just goes to emphasise how seriously you need to consider shooting with new people. If Brit, with her care and attention in bookings, can go so close to being at serious risk then all models should really take note. Fortunately, Brit's instinct (and experience) told her things were not right and she changed the plans to improve her safety.
I know how upset Brit still was over this issue when we shot a few days later.
I said to her at the time, like others have mentioned on here, anyone making negative comments about Brit on any forum would have been a total idiot as her reputation is so strong.
I'm just glad that Brit has come through it safely and hope others can learn from this sad story.

Having now had a look at this "photographer"s profile on another site I note another established model has left him negative feedback along with a host of other girls I didn't really recognise who had problems with him. I've never known Brit to badmouth anyone on here, so take her seriously folks and trust in the power of the grapevine.

Dont give up yet, we havent done a shoot!
Being serious...
thats why photographers get a bad name. You have to remember he is the minority.
I think chaperones are good for models but also a chaperone with a photographer. What happens if a model suggests that a photographer has done something he or she shouldnt have.

Hi Lee,
iv heard of that before- of a model slating a photographer and accusing him of many awful sexual acts and on working with him he was totally innocent and turned out to be one of the nicest photographers iv ever met!
It goes both ways....
I think its all about being safe....though in this particular incident in this forum post there was another person present in the stuedio and thankfully it was for my own safety- had it been in a hotel room where he had wanted to shoot me, it could have all gone horribly wrong.
My advice to all who are shooting wtih someone for the first time is to shoot in somewhere neutral, where if it all went wrong you wouldnt be jeopardising your safety.
thank you for your kind words- definitely not given up, far from it!

Only just read this thread, glad you got through it ok Brit. I shoot from home most of the time and while it can be a bit of a drag if a model wants to bring a chaperone along I can totally understand why they would want to do so.
